GPW 90079

Listed on ebay 11/21/2019. LISTING: New arrival from CA,GPW 90079 December 1942. Chassis is straight and looks to have just surface rust, needs the ugly lumps of angle iron removing from front and rear, original front frame horns are still there, just hidden by the additions.Bodytub needs lots of work but is certainly doable, many worse than this have been restored or fit a new tub.Front panels are saveable particularly the screen which is very straight and rot free.Engine is a Willys unit that is stuck from standing,I’ve put some diesel down the bores to help free it off.Oil is still up to the mark which bodes well.Transmission is correct T84/T18 with early handbrake, rear prop is early fat type. Both axles have been changed for CJ2A units, the Jeep will work like this- just lower overall gearing but I also have a pair of period correct WW2 axles that buyer can purchase for £500 if required to make it standard again.Steering is correct ww2 pattern.Comes with NOVA letter for registration,I can help with this and also delivery at sensible price if needed.Viewings/questions welcome as always.Tim on 07717 508388 Bank transfer preferred. COMMENTS: Frame number verified in pic, a little rough but complete, cannot verify DoD, tags not visible in pics, floors look to have been patched or replaced.
