GPW 176950

When cleaning the frame found that the serial number is 176950 the "4" turned out to be a "9".Have also found out that the Data plates were inacurate repros. Hood number: The number on the picture is a taken number indicating a jeep serving in UK, that is being replaced by a number that is correct for a Jan 44 GPW according to the lists available in AWW and other books. This may be the first GPW wih a composite body (no 419) as indicated by an article abt bodies on G503. ( the article refers to serial no 176450 which was what I thought it was when the car was first registered on G503.) In July 2014 it was awarded 3rd place in the Jeep & Truck class at the Power Big Meet in Vasteras, Sweden. (se: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Power_Big_Meet)
