After the war this Willys-Jeep crossed the border to Switzerland and was used for many years as a private delivery car between two petrol stations in “La Chaux-de-Fonds” and “Le Locle” (near the French border). They removed the original roof and installed a hardtop made in Switzerland. For the wintertime, it also became a heater. Probably, in the early seventies, the Jeep was heavily used and the owner decided to use it just as a snowplough. He installed a hydraulic-snowplough. Until the year 1992 when I bought the Jeep, the owner was still using it during the winter. After 50 years the condition of the Willys was quiet bad and it was nearly to die. Surprisingly it was still possible to drive. Most of the original parts are still available. In 2001 I started with the complete restoration. After many breaks, the project has been completed in July 2015!
