October'42 Ford GPW-74378...Fitted with a slightly earlier 'Ford' Script-Body tub...Released from the British Army in 1947... Unusually, she has NEVER had a blackout lamp, Jerry-Can holder or rear panel strengthening gussets fitted...or Radio Suppression/Filter either... She still has loads of original parts though...Green Sheller Wheel, F-Script seats, Original Ford 'GPW' Radiator, Seelite Headlamps, Instruments, Ford Pintle-Hook etc, etc...she also has a lovely pair of Tan, British-Army '37 Pattern Webbing Safety-Straps... I'm now busy removing all the 'added-on' 1980's 4x4 'junk' that has been put on over the years and returning her back to 'as near original' as I can...I'm going to buy a set of combat-rim wheels and Firestone bar-tread tyres (tires!) when I get paid, next week!!! 'Ford' Marker & Tail lamps etc have just been bought - and a full repaint etc will be done soon... |
