Acquired in Jan 2011. Original body w/very little rust. USN converted to 12V per Mod 7(?)circa 1948. Believe orignally delivered to USN and used in South-east USA ... spent 1950-60s? in Civil Defense Motor Pool fleet. Stayed in Nashville, TN area (law enforcement & private hands) until 2011. Now residing in the land of pleasant living (one of the small mid-Atlantic states). Restoration ongoing. Orig hood # recovered. Body/frames serial #'s in correct range for mid-May 45 delivery. Original data plates missing. |
