Notes/Comments: |
I acquired this jeep in 1972 from the Lone Pine, Calif. fire department, it was used as their "Communications Command Vehicle. The jeeps tour of duty during WW2 was spent at the Manzanar Internment Camp in the Owens Valley by Lone Pine, Ca. After the camps closure the equipment used there was distributed to local government agencies with this jeep going to the fire department. Having served with the Screaming Eagles in Vietnam made the decision for me to restore it in the 101 Airborne WW2 markings. The restoration is about 90% complete. |
