Notes/Comments: |
Got this one yesterday (25/02/2003). No dataplates, was in private use since 1952. Very bad welded mods. Frame seems okay, 5 combat rims there, only a ford taunus engine from 1972. DoD is a rough estimate. Update (31/03/2003): Found bodynumber (composite). Seems to be from another GPW, but later on. Should have ACM I. Update (01/07/2003): Sold Ford Taunus Engine. Got MB Block. From the casting it seems that it is a July 1944 Block. No serial number. So I decided to use the number from the title and replace the MB engine 352698, which was replaced by the Taunus engine initially. Update (07/01/2004): Since I got a MB with a GPW engine, I might to switch that ;-) Will post more infos as I have them. |
