Why no export? There are a lot of CCKW drivers in Norway who would love to be able to buy a heater for their vehicle. We have cold winters here.

I fully understand, but it is a lot of work that I am not prepared to get involved in.I have been thru this many times before, and the cost of shipping is a deterrent. If you have a friend in the USA that is willing to take care of this for you,I will ship to them. Do you know of any cosmetic CCKW parts in Norway that can be shipped to the USA?

The Royal Norwegian Army used the CCKWs until 1990. Of course, we chiefly used the M621 (NATO version of the M35), but the GMCs were used now and then, but mostly was in mobilization storage. (The same with the Willys, Dodge WC5*/WC6*, Diamond T, Ward LaFrance etc.)

The Norwegian society for historic military vehicles (HMK) got most the spare parts stock the army had for the GMCs for a very low price. They sell to foreigners.

I do send small items to countries all over the world, normally by U S Postal Service Flat Rate International Priority Mail. The size of the boxes are limited usually to small parts. Customs disclosure is mandatory. I have a few rare CCKW parts that are not cataloged that are reserved for collectors that are willing to practice a two way street. The Heater Kit is NOS and complete, if you have a contact in the US that will ship for you, I will try to help.

I've got one of the kit installed in my Closed Cab will try to find it tonite. They are nice and due to being sealed in the airtight overseas typ packaging, the Lustreless OD used by GM is still fresh looking.

Thanks Kirk, you saved me some work.
These Heaters were manufactured by Harrison Radiator Div. General Motors for Open and Closed Cab CCKW, CCW and apparantly were available starting around mid 1944.
Note the 1941 1st Series CCKW cab layout except for Transfer Case Lever Boot and the soon to be installed floormat.

Would one of these work in a G506?

It should, only consideration is the items that G-506 might have on the firewall on passenger side that CCKW does not. The Oil Filter is on the Firewall, but I do not believe it comes anywhere close to affecting the heater. I will work with you on it should you decide go ahead.
