Did the pic's marked Florida Essay have a location with them? I would guess it was Camp Blanding near Jacksonville.

It must be just a collection of different bases. Too many different types of scenes to be at one place. Pine flatlands/cypress/beaches along with Army and Navy serviceman. More than likely he took a tour of state. Because of climate and low population Florida had a lot of bases during the war, perhaps more than any other state or close to it.

Motor assemblies with trans & tcase on carts are printed with the negative upside down. The distributor is on the wrong side also...

The one with the Bobby getting out of the jeep....is flipped (light switch and shovel/axe locations)
The one with the guy installing shocks on the bare frame with the wooden barrels on the floor behind him is flipped (battery tray/brake master cyl locations)

hmmmm those photos of the Florida essay, super shots of the parade but only that one rear shot of the Diamond T 967or8 towing the 155. I bet in the Life archive there are more of that parade and include better shots of the DT so why do they only put up a couple of hundred shots then stop, frustrating or what
