Raft, Landing, 1-10 Man

Has anyone ever seen or heard of a "Raft, Landing, 1-10 Man"? A neighbor of mine saw me load some military vehicles, came over and asked if I wanted to buy a raft. He told me it was WWII and when we pulled it out of the half-opened crate, the white powder (a preservative?) looked as if it was never disturbed. All 7 chambers of this large raft were filled with air by a compressor and after one month in my garage it has lost very little air. No stenciled data but there are 3 places on it where the inspector's numbers were written on it.

Yah, there the prvue of combat engineers, and come in various sizes from LBRB to RB15's?
the talc keeps the rubber from sticking togeather. keep it out of the sun and heat. anotherwords. the basement not the garage.

Thank you for the information and tips for preserving the raft. I'm not sure I have enough room to store it so I may end up selling it. Can you tell me how you got your information and/or how I can find more about it?

I dont think theres a spacific manual on them, and there just mentioned in passing in Engineer handbooks, like FM 5-13 (1969), and FM 5-34, I think there also covered in the MOS manuals.
there kinda of an expendable item, but the modern neoprene lasts a lot longer than the WWii real rubber.
I'v never tried to track down any spacific info on them. but google is a wunderful thing.
