Reference the halftrack @ Pigeon Forge (Pictured above).
We now own that halftrack and have it at the Veterans Memorial Museum in Huntsville, AL. It is For Sale (we just have too many projects). It runs but that is all we know right now. Asking $16,000. Contact me (Randy) @ 256.883.3737 or email: info@memorialmuseum.org Thanks.
That was my Halftrack (M16A1) and the lane in GA was on my property I sold it to the "museuem" in TN It just sat up there in front, really too bad... I'm glad Randy has it now. It is a prime restoration candidate was rust free and very complete. Like Randy, I just had too many projects (42 Ford GPA restoration). All the armor on it is original as is the drivetrain.... Good luck with it.
As I was pulling my last halftrack home through the countryside, I posted that I drove by another halftrack. I made contact with the owner after a while and have found him to be a very friendly helpful guy. He had quite a bit of history on it as his father purchased it from the government. He had many stories of using it, and made the comment that on a hot day, being inside and operating the crane was almost unbearable. He did not want to sell it at this time, but welcomed me back for pictures or conversation whenever I wanted to. He is a great guy.
It even has the original Briggs and Stratton key and lock on the glove box door.

That is a nice early one. Low serial no, close to the one I am buying. Ignition switch above starter switch, but I noticed that it has the combat wheels and jerry can brackets. You think this was a field upgrade during WWII, or an add on by the civilian owners?
Always fun to see more HT photos.

Here are my two halftracks and some others I found in Oregon. The first one is as delivered to me at my shop.
this one is an overhead view in my shop.
Next, this one I was told about by a co-worker that found it in a local wrecking yard. I helped the the owner identify it then he decided that he wanted to keep it. I did manage to get a hydrovac, set of horns, fuel filter and som misc. brackets off it. He plans to make a wrecker out of it.
The next photo is of same halftrack but of the front section. you can't see it very well but it has a nice complete ditch roller on it. The roller is not for sale, darn! The chassis has since been moved and I will try to get some better photos of it.
The next two have a interesting story behind them. As my halftrack was being unloaded the mail lady stopped by and asked me if this thing was mine. I had the parking lot blocked off as we were tring to get it turned arround. I answered yes then she responded with" do you want another one?" It turns out that a relative of hers had just aquired some property and needed them off and is selling them. I'm currently in the works in getting one of them while a HT buddy is getting the other, the better of the two.
The last set of pictures is of an M2 that I just found and bought in Salem.
Hope you enjoy these photos.

You got a nice collection going there. The chances of that guy "making a wrecker" out of that is about a million to one. What a waste. Billy

Thought everyone would find this shot interesting--this is an M7 Snowtractor and carries serial M7-2. Paint is original and still carries the gray speckling on top of the white which was the prescribed cammo for these. Hoping to restore this in the coming year. Always looking for parts for these.
