U1300L unimog
Hi
As the owner of an ex military U1300L in Australia I am interested to know of any others here as they must be quite rare here, so please let me know if there are any others as I am only aware of two.
Regards Bob Kenny

U 1300
There are quite a few in North America, there are some troubles in getting them licenced and imported due to import regulations for USA but in Canada vehicles of 15 years or older have very few import restrictions.
I have a U1350 ambulance bought in Germany as a camper, I traveled with it there off and on for 4 years then shipped it to North America Last year.

Some pictures of it on this web site. www.reslog.org in the film and television section.
Other than the fast axles and it has the box on from factory I don t know what the difference is. I have put a standard 1300 cargo box on it with no problems.

If they are rare in Austrailia, where did you get yours. We have had owers for 11 years. Man do they go places. Ours is striaght from N Z Army disposiles, with rear seats, canopy & even a winch I got out of a 2 week old Buy Sell & Exchange, verylucky. We have used it BUT it is hard work & not user friendly. The trucks are nice to work on. Lots of fun.

Hi Stephen
Like yours mine is ex NZ Military and I purchased it privately from a lovely couple in Kaitaia Northland NZ and imported it into Australia.
Its very original with rear seats hood bows military green etc and only done 61000klm. As a keen military vehicle restorer come collector and one who enjoys outback offroad travel I am very happy with our purchase, they are just superb vehicles.
Best Regards Bob Kenny
