M422 transmission problems ??

Hello from oregon !! I believe my transmission is stuck in or stuck inbetween gears.. My first belief was the brakes, but there ok.. The engine will not turn over w/o the vehicle wanting to move and pushing in the clutch does not release anything ?? Anyone experience this w/ there M422 trannies and/or transfer case ?? Why wouldn't pressing the clutch in disengage the engine ?? Weird stuff.. Thank you, Jim & Marilyn

Perhaps the clutch plate is stuck to the flywheel. I had this happen on several old jeeps. Dick Tait
