Maybe its how nicely they are "jumbled".Show Of Force wrote: I mean GEEZ! They're just jumble of steel parts that look like a .50!
kind regards

Re: Show of Force M2HB
Just to pile on here, Bob came by my house this weekend to deliver one of these beauties to me. What a wonderful replica! Absolutely stunning when you see it in real life! Mine is an AC Sparkplug mfr., and I couldn't be more pleased. Bob Connor is clearly a gifted machinist and yet equally a wonderful gentleman with whom I'm spent several pleasant hours chatting about everything under the sun. It is always a pleasant suprise when you meet folks like Bob, and there are so many I've met in this great hobby.
Thanks again Bob!

Re: Show of Force M2HB
Very nice work, no doubt about it. I've built M2HB semis, so I know how much work doing one of these can be. In my experience, building a Display Gun is even more work, in some respects, than a live gun. The semi's are more complicated than full auto, and the Dummy build just creates more custom work to do. Well done, and glad to hear the vendor is such a stand up guy.

Re: Show of Force M2HB
Hey thank you for you compliment ! I think your M1919A4 is indeed the best dummy .30 out there.
I have built many of them (A4, A6 and M1917A1) and I can see I'm gonna have to revisit my design.
It sure was a hassle to get them BATF approved, especially the internal operating parts, and any design change will need re-approval.
I don't know if it's worth it. Think I'll leave the .30's to you!

Re: Show of Force M2HB
Your experience and mine with ATF show how they give different answers to different people. They have told me no moving parts in the dummy guns, no working internals. Must depend on who you speak to. But it also may be that it depends on how the gun is assembled. Drive screws, or threaded screws are used in some I have seen, as opposed to riveting, which is considered permanent. That's how they ruled on semis; if riveted, no welding required. In any case, I thank you for your comments on my .30s. I do admire your work, and am glad to have found out about you, in case I get a request for an M2 Display.

Re: Show of Force M2HB
Ill have to post the picture but I have a picture of a early colt 50 with the oval holes barrel trunion on a M113 in Graf Germany in 93 with the 11ACR. That would be around 60 plus years after it was made?

Tim, I came upon your post by accident. Would you be kind enough to tell me the year flat fender in your post? It looks done so darn good. I had a cvilian 42 and your is EXACTLY what I am searching to buy. Its done very very nice. I hope I come across one just like that.
With all due respect from a new member here.

Bob is busy with his day job. He hopes to resume manufacturing in about a year. He wanted my to convey he really misses time in the MV community, and looks forward to getting back in the game in the future. Paul

Re: Show of Force M2HB
We had Frigidaire mfg M2HB and some of those Colt long oval slotted barrel support M2HB in our Arms Room, and our 4.2" (107mm) M30 Mortars were made by Maytag.
