Some more catalogs uploaded last night. 1935 OTC and '52 Cornwell. I also snagged a 1919 Bonney off ebay (which I already had) but this one had a bunch of really cool catalog inserts included. They are all scanned and posted.

Thanks for your tireless dedication to the hobby, Todd.

The flyer is interesting to me for a few reasons.

One, for how the trademarked brand name Channellock was already top, front, and center in their minds, eclipsing the company name at the center bottom, not long after it was patented. And speaking of that, the figure of the pump pliers, which takes up the entire page, features the 1,950,362 patent marking we all know and look for and love so dearly to find (as opposed to the danged Canada 1953 patent!) in a huge inset.

Two, for the two items that were discontinued - heavy duty and thin-nosed versions of their standard slip-joint combination pliers, no doubt due to L-216 and because of their functional redundancy (and subsequent steel savings).

Three, the prominent claim of ALLOY STEEL in the ad copy.

Four, for the specs. At 3/16 to 1-5/8 capacity, the pump pliers exceed the 1-1/2 inch GMTK spec.

Five, to verify that they were indeed making G503/GMTK spec-correct ball-peen hammers, sized, in the old style, as 5-0 (4 ozs.), 0 (1 lb) and 4 (2 lbs). They are marked very clearly with the word CHAMPION right across the cheek, perpendicular to the handle, left to right, from flat face to peen. I'd love to find one some day. No size visible, although I suspect that is on the flip side, and given the way they are listed, I would also suspect marked in the old style (5-0, 0, or 4).

I found some more catalogs that may interest you folks early this morning on the internet archive. All are linked on my site now (go to recent content).

1944 Williams Machinists' Tool Cat
1949 Vlchek
1947 Mechanics' Tool & Forge (MAC)
1939 Klein and a 1943 Klein "Guide to tools"
1949 Stanley

Lots more but those are the ones I thought you folks might like to see, and perhaps already have.

 :P

This subset would all be EXTREMELY useful, and especially those in bold!

1944 DEC ALEMITE ORIGINAL
1943 ARMSTRONG C-39-L ORIGINAL (currently only have 1939 and bits & pieces in 1945 TM 1-475!!)
1943 BONNEY 43 COPY (currently only have 1941 and 1946!!)
1942 CORNWELL 22-A ORIGINAL (currently only have 1941 21-A!!)
1939 APR CRESCENT 23 ORIGINAL (this helps confirm that Crescent catalog 24c, which we have, but it's undated, is likely 1942 - as advertised!!)
1947 MAC 15 COPY
1942 MILLERS FALLS 42 ORIGINAL
1944 SCHRADER 48 ORIGINAL
1942 SEP STANLEY 34 ORIGINAL (currently only have a postwar 1949!!)
1941 JUL STEVENS WALDEN 140 ORIGINAL (currently only have a 1940 and 1954!!)
1944 MAR STEVENS WALDEN 141 ORIGINAL (see above!!)
1942 WALWORTH 42 ORIGINAL

Many of those I don't have. Also, there are some, like Armstrong I don't want to scan fearing damage to the catalog.

If that's addressed to me, Steve, I don't want any pics. I'd like to get the catalogs you own that we don't currently have access to here or on Tools Archive scanned and up on Tools Archive. That's why I took the time to compare your list to the current inventory here and on Tools Archive. My subset ignores the catalogs on your superset that we already have access to here or on Tools Archive, and those I consider a second tier of importance, for now. My subset identifies the catalogs we do NOT have access to here or on Tools Archive, and emboldens the most important of those, in my opinion. In essence, prioritizing which catalogs we should be scanning next. I'm not trying to tell you guys what to do. I'm just trying to help organize the effort based on what we need, and which appear to be redundant to what we already have.

Perhaps of less importance to many Gee members, I am eagerly but totally selfishly awaiting scans of the extremely rare 1960 Barcalo catalog.

On page 1 there's a post with links to catalogs posted on various threads here on the G or on other sites. I just updated it with a link to a c. 1940's J.J. RYAN catalog.
