Re: CCKW Warner 5 speed
Hi lester4238,
The ratios, as shown in the TM are:
1 6.06:1
2 3.50:1
3 1.80:1
4 1:1
5 0.799:1
R 6.00:1
So it looks like you are on the money with yours. I have read on other GMC forums that these transmissions were used in non-military applications, so perhaps that's where yours (the one with the speedo gear) came from.
All of the TMs and books that I have read indicate only Warner and Clark supplied transmissions for the CCKW.
With regards to the "arrow head" in the casting, I am leaning toward the theory that these are Clark transmissions because:
1) If the Warner's are marked "Warner", then the others are Clark.
2) With the exception of the arrow head, the casting number configuration is almost identical (see image below). Perhaps the Arrow head was indicative of a casting supplier?
In any case, that's my theory. If anyone has any other information, I would be glad to hear it.
Best Regards...

Re: CCKW Warner 5 speed
The customer who was interested in the Warner never bought it. I went ahead and listed it on Evil Bay.
