Are any of the jeep parts guys in Indiana still in business? Nelson's or others. I'm heading the Terre Haute this weekend and wanted to do some parts buying while in Indiana. Best wishes; Leo

Nelsons is in Ohio, and worse, the east side of Ohio.
If you are needing any body parts send DannyP a pm on this site. (central Indiana) He has some Joe's Motor Pool parts.

I believe the name of the gentleman in Crawsfordsville you are refrring to was Fred Ropeke. Hope I spelled that right. He had a museum there. He passed away a year or two ago. The museum was kept in tact for a year but I don't know what it's status is now. I know a few individual collectors with assorted parts. Don't know any dealers.
You might go down to the Miltary club section. IMVPA. Indiana Rustbusters. PM Mash-4077. He may be able to help you out.

Harry Sheets runs a jeep parts salvage business. He's in Crawfordsville, not far from the Ropke Museum. He's more into the civilian jeep market but sometimes has G503 stuff. Great guy to do business with. http://midwestwillys.com/
