Re: Sears sells Craftsman to Stanley Black & Decker
We will see how it goes. When Black and Decker bought Dewalt they did the smart thing and upgraded Dewalt to good quality building line tools and I have used all Dewalt corded and cordless since I started my own business coming up on 17 years. Black and Decker is homeowner grade stuff and that is o.k. When I started in construction in 1978 Milwaukee had lock on tool market (pre cordless days) but they kind of set on their reputation and Makita cleaned their clock with better tools. I think Craftsman has done the same and maybe they can get a brand back but it will be a tough sell for me.
