In finding that carb "sweet spot" you may find that timing is a part of that formula!
Try the vacuum gauge or go with 7 deg before TDC.

Thanks Chuck...

I hope I can read the numbers on the timing window.

Recent Purchase - '41 Slat

Parcours,

Your Slat Grill and My Slat Grill very likely came off the same assembly line on the same day.

I have MBI0289I. D.O.D: 12-08-41.. Hood Number: 2034134.. Body Number: 5126. With exception of the Motor,
everything else is correct including the Low Windshield and Extended Windshield Hold Down Latches.

Like most Slat Grill Owners, I am actively searching for a Motor with a Serial Number appropriate for my Jeep..

Send me your E-Mail address and I will be more than happy to share photo's of my Slat Grill with you..

Were you able to purchase the original tub with the deal? Are your seats the "split back" type? Photo of your gauges? Are your axles the early Spider type?

Installed a refurbished radiator today. I was not surprised at the amount of coolant to fill just the radiator, 2 gallons.

Didn't really see a difference in operating temperature. Runs between 170 and 190, depending on grade.

Thanks Mark. She's getting there. Most of the bugs are worked out. So far, runs flawlessly. With the help of tge great guys at g503, ive been able to trouble shoot and get everything fixed. Though I'm battling oil leaks. My son says it's par for the course. It's going to leak.

I'll tackle those little by little.

There is a saying by some of the jeepworld, all jeeps lean and all jeeps leak. Mine doesnt lean, but a slight leak on the gearbox. I dare say many others on here have leaking jeeps, your views on this are welcome guys. :o

Cracking jeep Parcours, but the rifle holder brackets were not fitted on the early jeeps, still looks awesome though.

You are correct. One of the items I need to remove.

I'm going to rework the rubber on the windshield, once I get to doing that, I was planning to cut off the rifle brackets and repaint the frame.

Looking at your D.O.D. have you got the split on the back of the front seats ? And once you have done the windscreen, could you post a picture, thanks in anticipation.
