ORGINAL POST FROM APRIL 27 2014 FOLLOWS:
I am pleased to provide some of the first pictures of one of our local NJ MTA member's Bantam BRC Serial number #1234 DOD 4/41.
A well known local MTA Member Peter S. from NJ (will leave last name out unless he approves putting on the forum), has had this hidden gem since the late 70's. He purchased it in upstate NY almost 40 years ago and has had it in his shed since he towed it home. Pete decided it was time to share his Bantam with the attendees at this year's Military Transport Association (MTA) show in Sussex County NJ.
The jeep has not seen the light of day for almost 4 decades. It's is surprisingly very complete. It is missing a transmission and most of the interior, but Pete tells us he plans to restores it soon.
Sharing these pictures of a very rare find and a new Bantam BRC to add to the Bantam survivor data base!
Regards,
Gary

Reading this gives me hope I may find something good lurking in a shed somewhere. Love the serial number of this also.

Thanks for posting! Tell your friend he is invited to the ABS meet in late October...put that little guy on a trailer and come on down and make sure he gets his picture taken in "The Gathering"! Won't happen again anytime soon, so anyone who has a BRC in any condition, please gove it some thought. The sooner we start talking about it the better alternatives are possible to develop for transportation...
