I should also add that the 4 jerry can strap bracket bolts are marked "C".

@ Ralph...I will check on those bolts.

Thanks Michael, I was hoping someone would tell me about the strap bracket - so often missing.

Cheers,

3. Is the bolt head the same (wrench size) as the other two E C bolts? (5/8) ?
4. Is there a washer under its head?
Thanks

I'm still cleaning up bolts but here are the results so far guys. Some patterns can already be seen.
Thanks for all the great contributions I've had so far.

This is an ongoing project so please drop me a line whenever you make a new discovery and I'll update the spreadsheet.

Spreadsheet V1 available from here:

Please keep em coming......

Removed the rear seat spring bolts this weekend. The markings are quite light but it looks like a large thin A perhaps? Much larger than the A symbols you usually see. Still have another 2 to strip the paint from so we'll see.
Anyone seen markings like these before?

Cheers,

Dave

Interested to know the markings you found on the 6 fender to grill bolts Paul please - also the length of these not including the head.
Also did you find "A" markings on the 3 grill to frame bolts?

Thanks,

Dave

Dave,

Unfortunately, the bolts from the fenders and the frame to the grill are all modern ones. :( The grill has only a coat of flat black paint on top of gray primer, so I'm assuming someone in the past pulled it off and sandblasted it. At least the bolts holding the headlight brackets to the grill look to be original, nice EC marks on all four.

Cheers
