Asking price per link attached above is $3500... I fell of my chair..
It is a Free country to ask what people can get but that is really an 'Opportunistic' pricing.
Good luck gents..I am getting up now.

I've just sold a similar package in Europe for around the same price. Most '1306' sets showing up today are junk and the asking price tends to reflect this but if you are buying a complete system in good condition, one element of the price is going to reflect the time taken to assemble the parts because it takes a long time. If you see a complete and correct jeep tool kit for sale, the price is also going to seem high but when you've put the legwork in to assembling a similar set you will understand why.

Derek

I have the same set in Italy in perfect shape, all components genuine WWII era (not GRC9) except FM-85, FT-482 and homebuilt AC power.
If one day I'll decide to sell it, in my opinion correct price is around 1.700 Euro. In Europe there are a lot of open market/fairs where sometime you can find radio and accessoiries at reasonable prices (Ciney, Friedrichshafen, Marzaglia, Beltring).
So, I agree with you, if someone don't like spend time as to wait to have the complete set, ....ok , he can pay extra value for it.

These days you can get those prices in Europe.Today here in the USA this stuff is everywhere you just have to look around. As the economy gets worse more turn up.The PE 237 is the only component that is hard to come by.

I agree with the availability but I asked a higher price because mine had a fully operational PE 237 instead of the usual DY88. On top of that it was sold with a large percentage of NOS items and wartime tan canvas instead of the late/post war green. If these financially hard times are causing militaria to be sold cheaply in the USA, I haven't noticed it and if anything the prices have carried on climbing.
One thing I am certain of is that what seems like a high price this year will look like a bargain in a couple of years time.
