FOUND: "The Ordnance Sergeant," September 1941
Looking for the September 1941 issue of the publication The Ordnance Sergeant.
In addition to payment for the issue I can provide readable digital copies of a couple other issues of your choice, you name the issue, or you can specify what Ordnance topics you're most interested in and I'll locate some articles for you.
Offering $100.00 for information leading to the purchase of an original hard copy. The tip must lead to the successful purchase of the issue, will be paid/mailed the day I receive the issue in-hand and excludes eBay auctions, I have that covered.
Please contact me via e-mail: p.w.browning@comcast.net
Thanks for your help,
-Patrick

Just because I have been curious ever since you posted this last October, what is the significance of/source of your interest in this issue?
Wish I could say I had a copy...

Patrick, I wish I could help. But I don't have that issue.
I too try to pick up an issue of Ordnance Sergeant whenever I can afford it. Maybe have a dozen or so.
They are simply the BEST reference for ordnance geeks and gearheads of all shapes and sizes.
Flip open the cover, and it's like a timemachine transporting you to some bustling ETO ordnance shop: a greasy tent chocked with cigar smoke, cosmoline, paint thinner acetylene tanks, ammo crates, stinky GIs....and a cussing First Sergeant.
but still fabulous right?

I have one issue thats a 43 or 44 dated issue. I find it better then Army Motors. It starts on page 123 and contains the MP40, 1919a6 being introduced, Mess trucks, and bomb loading in CCKWs.

Re: REWARD: "The Ordnance Sergeant," September 1941
That is the correct Publication, but you are showing the April 1941 issue.
The first issue appears to be hand typed, more of a collection of a few ordnance articles than an ongoing periodical. The next three are a bit more refined, as you can tell by the cover of the April issue. Starting May 1941 issues had pretty exciting and unique covers, it was also firmly in a magazine type format by then.
Thanks for keeping the thread alive! There has to be an issue out there someone is willing to part with... right?
