Illinois to California July

Planning on making a trip to California from Illinois in July, mid month. Unsure if I will go I-80 or take the southern route down I-44 to I-40 and then across. Have 30 foot gooseneck with 3 ramps, 8000# winch, and will pickup or drop off enroute.
Parts, full cars/Jeeps, tractors, or implements????

Are you making a return trip too? Full or empty? I have a Ben Hur trailer just off I-80 that I need to have hauled sometime... Not pressing by any means, just considering options.

Will be pretty much loaded on return. Maybe room for smaller items, fenders, hood, engine, tranny, something of that nature but no room for complete vehicles. rrgoat

Are you going to be anywhere near San Jose and have room for a motorcycle rolling frame and some parts on the return trip? To Omaha?
