PHOENIX -- A woman has been charged with aggravated DUI and child abuse after her 1-month-old baby was found abandoned in the street.

Police were called to the area of 45th Avenue and Cholla early Saturday morning after a child was found sitting in a car seat in the middle of the road.

While investigating the scene, two witnesses approached the officers and identified the mother as 19-year-old Catalina Clouser.

The witnesses said they had been smoking marijuana with Clouser and her boyfriend earlier in the evening at a nearby park.

Clouser and her boyfriend reportedly left the park around 11 p.m. to go buy beer. The boyfriend was pulled over on the way to the store and arrested for aggravated DUI after police determined he was driving impaired with the baby in the vehicle.

Upset over her boyfriend’s arrest, Clouser reportedly drove to the witnesses’ home and smoked more marijuana.

Clouser decided to leave the house around midnight with her baby asleep in a car seat. Before driving away, Clouser apparently forgot that she had left her child sitting on the roof of her car.

Yeah, my wife and I tried for five years and went through invitro twice, spent thousands of dollars and got nothing, and these people get to breed? Yeah, there is often no justice in the world...

Yeah, I knew pot smokers when I lived in Florida, they made this argument all the time. They used to give me grief about not smoking pot with them. Out of all of us, guess who went to college, became an Army officer and years later, owns his own home (and was the only one of them never to spend time in jail)? Would it shock you to know that none of the rest of them ever did anything, and all live in ramshackle trailers or on other people's couches (which isn't too bad when you're in your teens but in your 40s) with no real jobs?
Nah, i didn't think it would.

I personally have stoped 2 women, at different times, that placed their child on the roof then unloaded groceries, closed the doors and proceed to get into the car, start it up and back out of the parking spot. As they put it in drive I had enough time to get out of the van and run up to the vehicle as she was driving away banged my fist on their car.
The first one looked at me in discust. then I yelled at her with her window closed as I pulled the baby and seat off of the top. Her face turned different in fear then. The second one was about the same senerieo but when she looked at me she relized what she had done and she about lost it. Shecould not appoligize enough to me and her baby.
