running, pretty complete, M422A1 with title. Should be an easy restoration. Have tool box to replace the cut out one on drivers side. Also has the rare thin windshield.

Why does this A1 have an early perforated rear bumper? I thought only the earliest 422's had them? Or is it that all Mites came from the factory with the perf'd rear bumper and the solid rear bumper is just another MWO ?

Its not an early perforated bumper. It is part of the frame that all mites have behind the outer shell of the rear bumper. In the pics you can see where somebody cut off the "bumper" along the top leaving a jagged edge.

I thought the same thing. At first I thought it was a prototype bumper but someone else mentioned that what you are seeing is the frame that is behind the bumper. so It is missing the bumper it appears.
