Regreasing Bearings

I just changed the brakes and regreased the bearings on my front axial. How do I know if i did this all correctly? When i spin the drum should i hear nothing or should i hear alil bit of rolling or what?

That's a bit tough, because you can maybe hear brake noise too.

IMHO, it should be pretty quiet. You'll hear some noise, but it should feel and sound "smooth". No crunching sounds, no loud continuous sounds.

Only pack the bearings with grease.
People tend to fill the hub with grease which is not recomanded.
The most important is that you have put the adjusting and locking hub nuts right.
90% are found wrongly adjusted, which is unsafe and can cause damage to the hub and spindle.

Thank you after I rolled it around alittle bit the noise seized. i think it was just because the grease hadnt rolled around the bearings fully

Did you knead the grease thru the sides of the bearing cage, or did you just wipe it on?

The engine rebuild teacher from our local community college said to put a wad of grease into the palm of your hand and force the edge of the bearing into it continuously until it squeezes out the other end. It should be completely packed with bearing grease. It takes some patience and time to do this correctly. You might be able to do this faster with a pneumatic grease gun.

I kneaded it into the bearing. It isnt making the sound anymore. thank you for your comments
