The engine rebuild teacher from our local community college said to put a wad of grease into the palm of your hand and force the edge of the bearing into it continuously until it squeezes out the other end. It should be completely packed with bearing grease. It takes some patience and time to do this correctly. You might be able to do this faster with a pneumatic grease gun.
