The Esbit is nearly identical to the WWII model with the exception of a few of the markings. The can opener is identical to one produced during WWII but, the markings on the side indicate it as being made in the 1950s. The towel is new production but, looks the part well. These are some things every soldat should have in his bread bag! $35.00

Image
Image

- “Fail Safe” by Eugene Burdick: This is a very good novel in the flavor of Dr. Strangelove, an atomic attack against Russia. This author also co-wrote “The Ugly American” another great novel from the 1960s. First edition, 1962. $8.00
Image
Image
Image

- Corcoran Tanker Boots: These are basically brand new. They are the style of Corcoran brand boots but, I don't see any labels or markings indicating the makers. I received these from the original owner. He was a warrant officer in the Army and bought them a couple of weeks before he retired. He said he wore them only a few times. The leather is perfect and the soles show no real wear. Also included are several pairs of his OD cushion sole socks (they are all clean). I can’t find a size marking but I believe they are a size 10-10 ½. I wear a size 11 and they are tight on me. $100.00
