WLA black & white paint colors

Postby steveale » Sun May 13, 2012 8:05 pm

Does anyone know the actual paint shades for Black & White as called for in the palmer book? For my type II the following areas are listed for each.

Black:Cylinders, Generator Body, Generator end cap (mine is incorrect OD), kick starter arm (again mine is incorrect OD). Many other parts listed black.

White: Oil pump bodies, tappet blocks and transmission side cover.

The black shouldn't be tough since I have some parts already painted...it appears to be a semi-gloss type finish.

The white I don't have a clue since none of the listed parts are correctly painted.

Did I overlook the paint descriptions somewhere in the book or does anyone know the proper type of white paint?

Kent,
it was late when I saw your reply. I will try to call you this evening. I looked and your pictures in your signature link, they were very helpful on the color reference for the white on the oil pump body.
