STELLAR TRAILER need informations

Postby Robbby84 » Thu May 10, 2012 1:00 am

I found a STELLAR TRAILER of 1940

Image

but I would know some more about it: I never saw it before. Could someone tell me if is it a war militar trailer?
Do you have some photos?

Thank you

Ciao

That plate is just for the water filter, Roberto, but it does look like it might be on something military.

Can you post a picture of the whole thing / Maybe with tyre sizes and an image of the wheels and hitch too. That would all help us identify it.

I'm not that sure, but it really looks like a WW2 200 gallon Canadian army water tank trailer in those images.

Anyone ?

You mean Trailer, Water 180-gal, 20-cwt, 2-wh?

Maple Leaf Up has a discussion about them: http://www.mapleleafup.net/forums/showthread.php?t=5048

Pretty good bird dogging going on. This is off the link Tipdog posted and it's page 7.

http://www.hmvf.co.uk/pdf/ARMYWATERSUPPLY.pdf

Page 8 makes mention of the Stellar filter use.

the trailer is manufactured by THOMPSON BROS. ( BILSTON) , and is a" 180 GALLON WATER EQUIPMENT" used also by Canadian Army as 20cwt -2- WH LD.
