Hugh, I think your pliers are very reasonably priced.
There are quite a few collectors who think Mc Kaigh is a very decent choice not only for motor pool but also for factory Ford kits!
Kevin for instance, and I do not disagree, thought to identify the pliers in the famous SNL G503 "Ford" image as made by Mc Kaigh.
Mc Kaigh was a prewar Ford supplier for pliers,and also a War time supplier for hand cranks, if memory does not play tricks.
The cheapest and most unloved pliers used to be CeeTeeCo and we recently learned how they deserve more respect.
I would say Mc Kaigh pliers are more or less on the same boat.
