GP Frame, Parts, Truck Engine

Postby Brad Gates » Thu May 03, 2012 10:11 am

Hello Guys,

As ABERDEEN MD show is next week I am planning how "big" a trailer to take. I have 3 GP frames with most mounts already removed. A complete 4 cylinder truck engine. A complete GP transmission with transfer case, and other heavy parts.
IF interested please contact me for pictures and details.
I will have the usual small parts along. Including the latest reproduction parts; steering column tubes with frictionless bearing, top bow hold down kits with correct repro chain, and hood blocks both 1st and 2nd series.

Thanks,
BRAD

Hi Brad
With all those GP parts aboard, i don't suppose that whilst on your way to Aberdeen you would you consider taking a small detour across the pond and pass by my yard here in the Uk
I am still ever hopeful of finding a battery tray support bracket and a set of rear locker covers and would appreciate any offer of help in locating these parts.
All the best for the show.

Greetings Richard,

Maybe I could fill a container and just post it to your address. It would be like a big kids Christmas in the summer!!! I can help you with the battery support assembly and will forward more info with pictures.
The rear "locker covers". Do you mean the tool box lids???
Give me until next week to get you some answers. On a Jeep excersion this weekend.

Thanks for the best wishes.

Brad
Thanks for your prompt response. You are correct, it is the Tool Box lids which i am ever hopeful of finding. I look forward to further updates and pics of the battery support when you have time.

Brad

I need a good frame, you still have one and what is the asking price? The truck engine does it have the 4 speed with it? Is it possible to get a list of your parts and prices?

Thanks

WAYNE,
I have 3 frames available. The top frame is in the best condition.
If I remember correctly it is a Series I and I do have a title available. Let me know if you need more details.
Price of just the frame(NO Title) is $500.00 .
The L-4 engine came from a 1/2T commercial vehicle, sedan delivery I believe, and is a 3 speed. I will forward a current GP parts list to your email address.
Regards,

BRAD

Thanks Brad

I will email you but I need the one frame to start with. A title is not needed, my frame was bent when as a 11 years old and wrapped the GP around a tree, Dad made me tear it appart and fix it as punishment. I loved working on it but the frame has never been the same. The best to come of it is Dad gave it to me on my 16 birthday with a promise to take care of it and I am finally looking at restoring it.

Thanks

Brad, thanks so much for the list. Apparently I don't have something on my comp. that would allow me to download so I will get my son to do it for me. No doubt we will be doing business in the future. The GP is going to have to wait untill I finish my GPW. Once again thanks, Alan M.

Hi Brad,

I'm not currently a GP owner, but am on the trail of one.
So slightly premature, but could you send me a list of the parts you can supply?
Don't know what I'll need or when, but knowledge is king!

Many thanks

Howdy Tim,

Always good to hear of another person interested in the GPs. Hopefully one will someday show up. I do know of a few GP owners and restorers in England.

I will forward you the current list of parts available and add your name to my email list.

Hello Claude,

I have just up-dated the GP Parts list, and will email you a copy tomorrow.

YES I do have the steering column tube with upper bushing. This is and many other parts are on the list. Thanks for your interest.
