WTB - Rear F-marked axe clamp & axe sheath panel

Postby jodync » Sat Apr 28, 2012 9:45 am

I'm looking for an original rear F-marked axe clamp and an axe sheath from a donor jeep. Unfortunately, the original axe sheath was cut out when the jeep was modified for the mouth of a CJ tank. So, I just need a small panel with the axe sheath attached to repair the hole. I'm trying to keep this puppy as original as possible. Shoot me a line if you have either item. Fingers crossed. :D

The axe head sheath has differences between the Ford manufactured item and the later American Central I and II types. (Thanks Ian!)
If the GPW you have in your sig. GPW 203678 -- 6/20/44 is the recipient for your part request then an ACM II tub would provide an accurate donor part for you. The differences are subtle so it depends on how much you prefer your details to be accurate.
cheers

If what Bill described is what you need, then I have an ACMII (1944 MB) donor tub that has the axe sheath.

Thanks Bill, I did not know that! This is why I love the G503. I learn something every time I hop on the forums. I contacted Dexter, and I think I will soon have the piece I need. Thanks!
