Anyone notice the US-6 in the bottom photo, it has the rear outside dual missing. First impression was that it was a Chev 4X4.

Those Ruskies just wanted to get to Berlin. They did not maintain their equipment like we did.

Rumor has it that the Soviet government changed the identification plaques and other ways of to identify the lend lease vehicles as US and British. They tried to convince their soldiers that the Jeep's, Dodge WC's, GMC's etc. that they drove, were of Soviet manufacture....

Propaganda or truth? Who knows?

- Can you expand a bit? Pictures of Soviet identity plaques, etc.... I can imagine restoring a GMC and mark it as a Soviet vehicle, all the way. That would be a One-Off at any show.
