44GPW

The most recent addition to my rusty crusty fleet of non-running junkers. Ser # 198348 with matching # engine in the back (seems frozen at the moment). This is a need GPW with plenty of F marked parts but it has a heater and no glove box or data plates. The body is in great shape. No #s to be found but i haven't looked too close yet. Has a new top that was bought by the prev owner when he was a sewing specialist in Germany before he got out in the 1980s. Has original bows and a drivers seat. I don't really need this jeep but it could be a preservation candidate. Was thinking now of using my junker parts GPW to restore this one to 75% and put away until my current resto gets done, wife divorces me, for too many jeeps, or both :D
bad thing is now i brought this home i have to buy her new furniture

I had a couple when I got married, so they came with me. hehe
My advice to any guy, is have a few when you get hitched, then she can't say she didn't know about the 'MV addiction"
I taught my wife how to drive my Army truck. She is a Principal in a high school. She drove it to school one day. They think shes' pretty tough now.
She also has kinda caught the MV fun bug, so its easier for me now.

Now that's funny David! Any Principal that would drive an MV is Definitely pretty high on the Cool chart in my book!! My wife can drive my 55 M38A1 but prefers her pink 62 Willys Tuxedo park better... :D :D

Definitely helps to have the wife in on the jeep addiction, makes finding, and more importantly KEEPING jeeps and parts a lot easier!!!

Halsey:

I had forgotten about the Tuxedo Park! And pink, no less. Good for her (and you!)
