Did not know you owned / restored a mutt, Top. Which type did you have? I 've owned three. An A1 (fully restored that one) and two A2s one of which I still currently own.

The old MUTT is at a friend's shop right now, since I'm still stuck overseas. He's putting batteries in it and going to try to fire it this week. We'll see what all it needs from there.
If he can get it running well enough, it may make it to the Memorial Day cemetary services.

I owned a 1964 M151A1. It was a nice Jeep restored to the level of motor pool class. I sold it to fund the restoration of my M3A1 Scout Car. 8)

Interesting as I sold my '67 M151A1 to buy the ferret I'm currently restoring...

I am looking for a decent M37, If I find the right one I might sell the mutt to buy it. Funny how this hobby works.

Wow!
The .pdf TM's are a lot of MB's!
But there are 700+ pages in the -23!

That's going to take a load of paper and toner.
I'd best figure out how to double side copy them.

Gregg, where are you located? The hard copies are out there and available at a reasonable price. Most people just download the pdf's and then print out the pages they need for a project. Aberdeen is in a week and a half and I am sure the manuals will all be there. There are plenty of shows in Ohio throughout the summer also. I am not up on the west coast shows.

Not to put Portrayal down but they seem to think that their repro's are printed with gold ink on gold paper! The NOS manuals are out there for 20.00 to 40.00 dollars. I did not look at Portrayals prices but I know when I was looking for manuals they were over a 100.!

I stand corrected, I just went to their site and the prices are reasonable. Maybe they finally realized that people were not going to pay top dollar for stuff that is available on the internet for free.

I was home for a short time before going back to Ft Hood. It is now running, still needs W/S, bodywork, seats, etc. But at least it is running and is driveable. We didn't get to use it for our Legion Memorial Day transportation, though.

Thought I'd post the M-151 progress (or lack of it). But it is running and pretty driveable.
However I'm still on active duty because of an Afghanistan injury.

 So not much else has happened on the MUTT.
I reckon I will work on it as I get some leave time.
As you can see--there's a bunch of body work to be done.

I need to get seats too. Can anyone drect me to a good outfit to get complete front and rear seat assemblies?

Thanks in advance,
Mustang Gregg

Do you mean the cusions or the frames? Or both? Weebee webbing is the go to guy for seat cusions. As for the seat frames themselves, I would think TNJ Murray would/should have them but you may also want to try Front line Military vehicles (not sure if he has frames but is a good guy to deal with for mutt parts anyway). If you need their contact details let me know.

I need cushions for the front, but figured it might be better to get the whole assemblies. The diver's side adjuster is shot too.
As for the rear---I have nothing back there.

Thanks,
MG

I can't remember where you're located right off hand, but if they're closer, you may also want to try Rapco in Bowie, Texas for the seat frames. As for the cusions, like I posted earlier if it's originals you want then post an add for same here & over in the mutt forum on g503. ' Think repros are the way to go (IMO) then you have a wider array of choices as there are several manufactures of vehicle canvas. The owner of weebee webbing is a member here and is a good guy to deal with.
