I have a couple of the column covers with the F script, one is on a VEP and another is on an August 42` GPW. Scott

Hi guys,

I have the same F on the steering tube of GPW 11730, but there isnt one on the tube of GPW 225290 which was a very original complete vehicle with all F marked steering gear except the tube (including sector shaft and a little block F on the horn ring!), but that doesnt mean it wasnt replaced for some reason.

I havent ever seen a F on the carb return spring tab, any chance of a pic? I have seen the repro's, but never an original!

Cheers,
Ian.

that ford stamped things like this, and all so amazed that i have become an f script anorrack? is this whot happens
normally after buying one of these old timers,,ime begining to feel worried,, i had a life before ? but have allways
been a sucker for old Fords, hence my pass word ,,ford3000gt (capri) that was the U,K,s mustang,a mighty fine
car of late 60s eary 70s, why dont they make em like that now beats me ,,any way thats enough of that old c_ _ p

You need to look carefully!
These are on a Dec 44 GPW which has not been on the road since 1973 and garaged since.

Hi Pete,

Thanks for that! Any chance of some more pics of this jeep being posted down in the unrestored forum? You have gotten us excited when you said this:
