Rob,
Congratulations on completion of your CCKW, it looks great! Those small finishing touches on the outside of your truck make it look fantastic,
just like a WWII GI would do. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Roberto,

Wonderful job you did with your GMC! I used to own a late model open cab GMC CCKW 353 H1 (Tipper) w/w and I loved the way it drove. So easy and with plenty of power from the engine. I still miss that Jimmie....

My own 12 February 1945 Dodge WC51 will soon be finished, after a over 1 year long total restoration in southern Holland. Will take it, and the 1943 Willys MBT, on a shake down cruise around the old Battle of the Bulge battlefields in July.

We're planning a tour in June 2013, "To The Gothic Line And Back", starting at the Wings of Liberation museum in Best, Holland. We will be covering the battlefields of the late war in Italy, 1944-45. I am especially interested in the path of the Brazilian Expeditionary Force under General Clark's 5th army. My Dodge WC51, and the Willys MBT, will be marked as a Força Expedicionária Brasileira (FEB) vehicle. We hope that several Brazilian nationals will be able to attend. See you there?

I like it too, there is nothing as pleasing as the restored interior of a Closed Cab CCKW. It is exciting when the small missing parts finally show up.
