Yes the jeep was fitted with the post war MX-735 deep water fording kit unit fitted. The CJV-35/U left the factory with deep water fording gear already fitted as standard. I think I have that right. here are pics of the data plates.

Thanks for the pics. The brass I.D. tags on the units are unique to the underwater 6-volt set ups only I believe.Your jeep must get quite a bit of attention when you drive it out in public. :)

Hi Steven,
I got mine from Tim Hoggard in Chinley, Derbyshire. It was given to me as a spare body as the original body was totally rotten. I was always under the impression that i had the only one in the UK and have asked around at every show if anyone else knew about them or had info. on them an I have always drawn blank. I am just about to paint mine and when its done I will post some current pictures.

Thats done it, I have been telling everyone I meet that they wont find another jeep like this in the UK and what happens one pops up. Where did you get it from looks to be in great shape.
As for the paint I got it from http://www.rapidpaint.co.uk/
I looked at paint charts and could not get the right shade that I thought it should be after looking on the net so i bought some little tins of model builders paint mixed them up to get the shade then took a sample to rapid paint and they mixed some up for me. I am really pleased with the out come.

Very well done. I remember when the JEEP was for sale. Nice to see it a few years later.

Hi Rampant rivet sorry I do not have a number for the correct paint for USMC jeep. Better to get in touch with the likes of Mark Tombleson or Fred Coldwell.
Look forward to seeing some pics.
