To all,
We are now in the Parade in Gold Hill on Sat. morning, 2 June. For us that will be camping at IM, we will have to be loaded and shove off no later than 0800 on Sat morning to make Gold Hill by 0900. The parade starts at 1000. After the parade and Gold Dust Days festivites we will be heading back and meandering towards Grants Pass (ladies, read between the lines on this one).
To back up a little, on Friday 1 June we will be heading to a Historic gold mining town(has buildings) and site near Wolf Creek, then, back to Wolf Creek Tavern for chow, then onto the Applegate Trail Museum in Sunny Valley and a photo ops at the only remaining wooden covered bridge in Josephine County which is also in Sunny Valley, near the Museum.
Some of the Friday trip we will be going over the same road we took last year past Galice Resort on to Wolf Creek. A portion of the road to Sunny Valley will be new to us. After that we have two options, double back the way we came to Sunny Valley, then to Galice or head east out of Sunny Valley and then south and then west to cut over towards Hugo and back to Indian Mary Park.
Friday may be a long road trip day, so be prepared for it. But it will hopefully not be as long as the Alcan Trip.
See ya on 31 May, which is just around the corner,
Frank
