Original Style Ropes ?

Postby Rusty1340 » Sun Feb 12, 2012 4:59 am

Does anyone have close up pictures they could post of the ropes used on the M3A4 John Wood? I would like to see photos of the handles and the hardware on the ends

Thanks

I dont know who makes them. They seem to pop up now and than in photos of Carts but dont know where they got them. I have enough originals and have never looked for original type rope.

Looks like braided cotton. Similar to clothesline or sash cord, but larger in diameter. I don't know if that size is still available. A modern equivalent made in braided nylon or polypropelene can probably be found at boating supply stores like West Marine.

Thanks, Brucemb just told me the same thing, but the $80.00 is more then I wanted to spend right now. This free cart has already cost me an arm and a leg already. The way I see it, if it were cheap then everyone would have a cart with ropes
