Bubba did not like the tool indents, so he covered them with sheet metal.

This is close to mine date wise :) my chassis number is 272270 and is 15th june '45. Should put this one about 15 days later maybe? (around june 25th/ 27th at a guess)

I would venture that because the industrial base of many countries was destroyed and also that the US was an occupier and police force that a fair amount of late production jeeps went overseas. My jeep was supposed to be shipped the Russia in 1942 but I suspect it never left the US and was probably used on local base.
