I would remove the distributor rotor and they can be trying all day to start it to no evale.That works as long as the thief does not carry a spare rotor with him.

That's probably easier to do on an MB or GPA than on a M38.

It boils down to a few issues....
How much TIME the thief has....
How SMART the thief is....
How much SKILL the thief has....
How MUCH the thief wants it....
How DIFFICULT the anti-theft deterrant is....
How DETERMINED the thief is....

If they WANT it bad enough, they will get it....but you can do a LOT with the suggestions made to simply keep them from driving it off in two minutes or less....

For disabiling the M-38 ignition,just remove the ignition switch to distributor cable.

There was a time in the 1940s and early 1950s when virtually everyone knew how to start a MB or GPW. Today, it's become an arcane art. It's not like some punk kid can take a shine to your parked ride and just hop in, start up, and drive off. Theft of the MB is just not something that I worry about.
