Navy Jeep after 3years work

Postby boywillys » Sun Feb 05, 2012 9:47 am

Hi all decided its about time to post some pics of the jeep I got 3years ago. Got her road legal last summer but still along way to go but while I carry on the work at least I can get some pleasure from driving around.

Hi boywillys:

No wonder we haven't heard from you in a while. You've been too busy finishing your beautiful restoration. Excellent job! That's one gorgeous jeep you now have. Congratulations on a sterling restoration! :D :D

I'm a little envious now that I see what my jeep would look like in gray.

Looks like a great job!

Nice job. Is that a USN jerrycan on the back? What year and manufacturer is the can?

Wow! Its great to see another jeep like mine in the UK I thought I had the only one as I haven't seen one at any event. I have been trying to get some paint for mine as it's nearly finished - where have you got yours from as I am struggling?

Hi davedodge
Thats done it, I have been telling everyone I meet that they wont find another jeep like this in the UK and what happens one pops up. Where did you get it from looks to be in great shape.
As for the paint I got it from http://www.rapidpaint.co.uk/
I looked at paint charts and could not get the right shade that I thought it should be after looking on the net so i bought some little tins of model builders paint mixed them up to get the shade then took a sample to rapid paint and they mixed some up for me. I am really pleased with the out come.
