Hi Gordon,

Robert makes very nice data plates, he made mine for the M7 and it is just excellent:

The one at the bottom, I recently bought from Jaap and this is the one that appears in the parts list for the M7.
The pre-heater for the M7 has no electrical ignition.
Thanks for the offer.

Thanks for that Tom.

Well I know I have a pre-heater and a flue on the shelf, and the flue is definitely the same. I must look it out and check.
Means there must be at least two versions of that pre-heater though. I did notice the T-36 has a heater circuit through the bottom of the battery box too, which makes sense.

My pre-heater is a wick type as well.

Great restoration. Here's one we found in Colorado near Denver. Serial shows M7-2 and hoping to start the resto in the coming year.

Did you find any hood numbers?

Thanks Dave,

I didn't find any hood numbers, the hood was fully sanded before it was painted red.

Hi Tom, I just seen your restoration on your M7. Very, Very Nice! I am currently restoring an M7 in New Jersey. I noticed in your early photo's your side hood panels missing? Mine were also missing. Seems like alot of them were taken off. Did you find a set or have yours made? If you have any ideas I would greatly appreciate it. I have owned my M7 for approv. 5 years and had to put it on the back burner in order to finish other projects. I did recently finish a T15. Its in nice shape with the exception of the tracks. I take it slow right now. Anyway again you did a find job on yours. I'm know everyone appreciates your excellent photo's. Best Regards from USA. Dennis Foster

Hi Dennis, thank you very much.
I do have the left hand side hood panel and it's still in very good condition.
Planning on making a few in the near future, ones I've figured out how to make the louvres.
I'll keep you posted on how things turn out.
Cheers,
Tom.

HELLO TOM ...Their is one of these A/C sitting in a junkyard up in Dawson creek B C Canada as of two years ago ..I just
thought it was some kind of goofy farm machine modified in some back yard and didn't really go and look at it as i am into
tanks ( I have a butchered M5 Stuart ) that I am trying to restore ..But if you want I can get my cousin to drive there and
take pictures and find out how much the guy wants for it once the snow goes away ...The junk yard is reasonable in its prices.
And i know some truck drivers that will haul it back to my place ( near Vancouver B C ) so then you could come and get it and haul it back to your shop . Loading and unloading is no problem as i have a Kenworth tow truck ...

My two sons are born and they take all of my time :D

Luckily my dad wanted to help me and he's restoring the right track assy.

And a few NOS, still crated parts arrived from Ron.
Unfortunatly the most needed went missing during transport :(
If someone has some M7 boogie wheels for spare, they would come in handy

Cheers,
Tom.

Looking good Tom

I'll still get those parts to you sometime, though frankly you are past the stage of needing them now I think.

Thanks Gordon.
It's true that I don't need them anymore but I still would like to have them for my spare parts display :)

Started to work on the lefthand engine cover today.
Didn't know how it would turn out making the louvres but to my surprise it went very easy.
Made my own louvres press ...
Image
Image
Made some slots in the cover ...
Image
and started pressing the louvres ...

And the result ...
