Hi Greencom:

It's a 1940 Dodge VC-1, which is a 1/2 ton ton 4x4 command car. It does look quite similar to the Marmon-Herrington command car.

It wasn't. It was parked there for the photo.. :D

The MB in the first photo has appeared in other pictures, I seem to remember taken in the desert. It is missing the front hub covers and the pop-stud thingys around the door.

Did they ever replace the cap on the right front wheel of the Jeep?
