The "Key hole" is for the winter curtain that goes in front of the radiator.
A chain is routed through the hole (like the one used to secure the plug for your sink) and can be used to raise and lower the curtain.

Hello "neighbor"Frank :)

This hole for the winter curtain: Is this original or is it some later modification? The reason i ask is that i have the same on my MB-45

It is a later modification done by the Norwegian Army.

Fantastic Vehicle..... I missed this posting the first time around....

One Question..... The Stubby Horn, Does it have any Markings or Numbers stamped on it???

My 44 Ford came with a similar horn and I was wondering if it's original or a Depot retrofit....

Most likely a Depot retrofit, but if you look at the horns supplied with the 12 volt conversion they look quite similar, so why not a 6 volt edition.
I don`t remember if it was marked, but I have another one that looks the same and that one has a sparton tag.

Delco made a similar short 12 Volt postwar horn that was packed in G-502 or G-507 boxes. I have one.

My mind played tricks on me......

Horn I took off does not have the Stubby cone.... It is a flat faced Sparton Model SA (A-9) with the stamping of 23S-50 on the front plate. 666 or 999 on the back...

Any Ideas as to what vehicle it really goes with????

Thank You!!
