M151a2 speed odometer question

Postby hatleyn » Fri Jan 20, 2012 2:11 pm

So my speed odometer currently does not work so in the process of getting under the jeep I see a rubber cable with a steel wire inside of the cord and has a screw down fitting on the end it is currently pretty much laying in between the exhausts and the tramission serial number plate. My question is this the speed cable that needs to be screwed in somewhere cause all of my other cable operated things work great but my speed odometer currently does not.
Thanks

Yes, It screws into the back of your speedo. There should be a square end on the cable, that should have the same end on both ends, if not you need a new cable.
