sunburn prevention cream

Postby 12Bravo » Thu Jan 12, 2012 3:30 pm

I have a small can of sun screen and am trying to figure out what era it is from. I have found pictures of similar cans from the late 60's but the printing on those are yellow while the printing on mine is black. The picture doesn't show the numbers on the top which are: 29-C-1500.

Likely WW2 based on the stock number format. A postal zone reference (ex: "Boston 4") might date it better, if an address is even listed (I can't tell).

The only numbers is the "29-C-1500" It is a 2 Oz container made by Helene Curtis Industries, INC. Chicago, Ill. I appreciate any info/help. Along with the sun burn cream, I found a 3 1/2 Oz can of foot powder that is from WWII.
