Swiss mule hand cart 1918

Postby dcbrew3025 » Sat Feb 19, 2011 12:20 pm

Can anyone help identify this German hand cart and the value of it?

I have found out that it is Swiss. It has a data plate on it that show a date of 1918. If anyone is interested in it let me know and I will put you intouch with the owner.

Sportsmans Guide was selling them a few years ago, started at about 500 and towards the end of them they were about 350. I like them but have no room or application for one.

Go to vintage photo forum and look at the vehicle 36 topic, on page 14 at vehicle 199-1 there is a cart being pulled by a kettenrand. I can't isolate pics to post yet.

The kettenrad trialer was a bit different than the Swiss trailer being discussed.

The Germans also had an "infantry" cart that could be pulled by hand, horse, or vehicle as needed - Infanteriekarren If-8.
